Need - Empowered learners

At RPGIS, the IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous, internationally benchmarked two-year curriculum that challenges students to think deeply, question boldly and apply their learning to the real world.

A Curriculum Built Around Choice and Depth

Every IBDP student studies six subjects — three at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL) — drawn from the six IB subject groups:

  • Group 1 – Studies in Language and Literature: English,
  • Group 2 – Language Acquisition: Spanish, French, Hindi
  • Group 3 – Individuals and Societies: History, Economics, Business Management, Psychology, ESS
  • Group 4 – Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS)
  • Group 5 – Mathematics: Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (AA), Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation (AI)
  • Group 6 – The Arts: Visual Arts

This flexible structure lets every student build a personalised academic pathway aligned to their strengths, interests and intended university course.

The DP Core: The Heart of the Diploma

What sets the IB Diploma apart is its unique Core, which every student completes alongside their six subjects:

  • Theory of Knowledge (TOK) — an exploration of how we know what we know, sharpening critical and reflective thinking across disciplines.
  • Extended Essay (EE) — an independent, self-directed 4,000-word research paper that builds genuine university-level research and academic writing skills.
  • Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) — experiential learning through the arts, sports and community service, developing empathy, initiative and leadership beyond the classroom.

This flexible structure lets every student build a personalised academic pathway aligned to their strengths, interests and intended university course.

Preparing Students for University and Beyond

The IB Diploma is recognised and respected by top universities worldwide, from the Ivy League and Oxbridge to India's leading institutions. With dedicated college and career counselling, structured academic timelines across both DP years and a progressive assessment approach, every RPGIS student leaves with a competitive global qualification and the confidence to make the most of every opportunity ahead.
